Sirron Norris
Known for his signature style "Cartoon literalism", Sirron Norris is a fixture among the San Francisco art scene. Best known for his numerous murals in the Mission District and inside many local restaurants through out the city, Sirron has spent the last eleven years developing his work and establishing himself as a premier fine artist and commercial illustrator. Sirron was a Wattis Artist in residence at the Yerba Buena Center for the Arts in 2003; other residencies include the De-young Memorial Museum, Southern Exposure and the California College of the arts. Sirrons work was also featured in the 2005 bay Area Now show at YBCA as part of the Gestalt Collective. Sirron commercially has contributed character designs for major companies including SFMOMA, Microsoft, Comedy Central and Bay Area Rapid Transit.
Currently Sirron has a line of t-shirts and sweatshirts available in many retail locations in San Francisco.
He also is writing and illustrating a children's book based in the city.
