Giving Life to the Community

Artists

Flicka McGurrin & Linda Wallgren:

My work as a painter often reflects the turbulence of the sea not just as visual reality but also as a metaphor for an approach to life that includes being a restaurant proprietor. The constant beauty of the San Francisco skyline and the ever present eye-catching surprizes as one manuvers the hills of the city looking out to the bay are an inspiration for my expression. A sizeable amount of my painting portrays the water's edge as the surf pounds the shore through the darkness and into the light. This subject matter is no doubt a bi-product of a hectic business life. To me San Francisco reflects a sea green misty color that is unique and could well be reflected in "Reflections of a Heart".
